International Festival of Choral Art "Singing World"

St. Petersburg, Russia

The International Festival of Choral Art "Singing World" is a large-scale and highly competitive festival organised annually in one of the world's most beautiful cities, St. Petersburg of Russia. The city had always been the 'door' to Europe in Russian's history: an enormous hub for businesses, art and cultural exchanges. Supported by the European Choral Association and The Committee for Culture of St Petersburg, this festival has established itself as such a hub for top-tier musical exchanges - one of the most successful and highly-regarded on not just the Russian continent but also in the Baltic and northern European regions.

The 6-day event, which connects over 50 choirs worldwide every year, has a lot to offer. Apart from the 2-round and multi-category competition adjudicated by a panel of distinguished and international jury, choirs will have invaluable opportunities to workshop with a Russian or non-Russian choral master/composer, and to perform at some of the most renowned churches and flagship concert venues, e.g. The State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg.

After the festival, choirs are hugely encouraged to explore Moscow, Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia).
